Introducing Amber Quaree

Dear Diary,

Today marks the beginning of a new life for me! I spent most of the morning dealing with the contractor for the house and the furniture moving people, but I think everything will be okay. The lot is big enough for the house I chose, but I spent so much on the land that I didn't have enough money to actually build the house. Oh well, I guess I'll be camping out with my stuff until I meet someone who will "let me" charm their money out of them. I wouldn't dare ask Daddy for more money - he doesn't think I can make it on my own anyway.

I suppose I should introduce myself, in the chance I become famous and my diary is worth money. My name is Amber Quaree, daughter of renowned geologist Roc Quaree. My mom, Ruby Quaree, died two years ago. My brother Shale and I were off at college and she would get lonely when Dad would go off on his expeditions. She would often wander around outside, just watching the clouds, wishing time would pass faster for her beloved to come home. Two days before he was scheduled to come home, a satellite fell from the sky and killed her. Our family was devastated, but we stuck together and tried to move on. I spent most of my time dating to try to forget the pain, while Shale poured himself into his studies. I eventually gave up on school after going on academic probation, but Shale graduated with honors and is now working with my Dad.

Dad and Shale decided they wanted to move closer to the caves they were exploring, but it's in another country and there was no way I was going with them. So Dad gave me access to the account he had put my wedding money in (like I'll ever get married) and said I could either use that money to "find myself" or I could go with them. Needless to say, I took the money and now they're gone. I don't think Daddy has much faith in me and that I'll probably last a week if I'm lucky before I call him and beg for him to send a plane or something to bring me to them, but that's ok, I'll prove him wrong.

Enough about them, I'd rather talk about me! If I was to describe myself in a few words, it would be a fun loving romantic!! I'm a Pisces, I have long blonde hair (usually kept up in a ponytail), fair skin and grey eyes. I love parties and my goal is to be a Professional Party Guest - can you believe that people actually get paid to party?? I am the eternal romantic though - I love falling in love (and the woohooing that goes with it isn't bad either). I've been known to have more than one guy at a time - it's a rush to see how many guys I can be with and not get caught! Of course, that's gotten me in a lot of trouble in the past, but what can I say? I live for it and will probably die for it too.

Speaking of men, it's time for me to scope the town and see who's out here! I've got a house waiting to be built and I need the simoleons or it's never going to get done. Gotta find me "Mr. Right For The Moment" with deep pockets. I'm sure I'll write later on how it goes.
